Palam Vihar is surrounded by Chauma Road, Najafgarh-Gurgaon Road. Najafgarh - Balghera Road is the major arterial road passing in the middle of the locality which further has its access with Najafgarh - Kapashera Road. It is located in close proximity to developed areas like Sector 26 Dwarka, Sector 105, Sector 106, Sector 109, Sector 110, Sector 111, Sector 112, Sector 113, Sector 114 and Sector 14. The locality is well-connected to various developed areas and a number of hotels, schools, banks and hospitals via an excellent network of railways and roadways. Proposed Infrastructure

The construction of the Northern Peripheral Road (NPR), popularly known as the Dwarka  Expressway, is likely to start next month as the highways authority has initiated the process of inviting tenders for an elevated road. The Expressway starts from Dwarka, crosses Bijwasan, New Palam Vihar, Kherki Daula and finally connects NH8. It will benefit sectors 81 to 113. There will be a commercial belt touching sectors 105,106, 109,110, 110A, 111, 112 and 113 with sectors 100 and 101 being slotted for public utilities while sectors 114 and 88 are fully commercial. Other residential sectors that are a little far away from the Expressway but will benefit from it are 81-86, 89-93 and 95. The Expressway has also given a strong fillip to SEZs (special economic zones) coming up near it. Reliance (multi-services) and Rahejas SEZs (engineering) both of which have been notified.
Factors for past growth

Considering the easy living conditions and many job opportunities along with presence of commercial hubs in and around the locality, make Palam Vihar a preferred working as well as residential destination of NCR.
